Summary
Two-day specialist course focusing on Supporting Older People. The next training course will be held on Tuesday 30 March and Wednesday 31 March 2021.
This 2-day elective has been written specifically for all ISVA’s acknowledging that working with Older People will be a feature of their support work. The experience of Older People who have experienced sexual violence will be exacerbated by social, cultural and physical issues which may not directly relate to all victims and therefore requires a tailored response. This course recognises the need to develop different processes, skills and competencies in supporting this client group, effectively and safely.
The programme was written in collaboration with Age UK and SafeLives to ensure that delegates come away from the training with both practical and theoretical knowledge to help engage older people affected by Sexual Violence. It is important to acknowledge the different skills set of ISVA’s who support Older People through the Criminal Justice System, and access to medical, social and cultural support, this course is designed to help ISVAs develop the skills necessary to support this client group.
This course will be delivered in Manchester.
Travel costs are NOT included.

Expressions of Interest
Once the course is full, ISVAs wishing to book can be added to the Expressions of Interest list and offered a course on the next available date. In the event of a cancellation, a place will be offered to the next person on the list. To be added to this list, please send us an email stating your Expression of Interest to info@limeculture.co.uk. We will keep you posted when the next dates are announced for this event and if there are any cancellations in the interim. All Expressions of Interest will receive a priority booking form before the course is marketed to the wider network.
