Workshop  – Wednesday 24 November 2021 – 9.30-12.30pm

LimeCulture’s new and innovative ‘Strategic Safeguarding in Sport Workshop’ is open to all Senior Managers/Leaders and Boards from organisations who work with children, young people and adults at risk. This half day workshop will help you explore your own organisation’s vision and mission and how safeguarding aligns within your wider strategic frameworks. After attending this workshop, you will be equipped with the knowledge and skills to ensure safeguarding underpins the services and programs you deliver and feel assured that your strategic approach to safeguarding is robust.

Learning Objectives:

  • Highlight the key overarching legislative duties for safeguarding in sport and why they are important
  • Explore how safeguarding sits within a sporting organisation’s Vision, Mission and Values and why.
  • Describe the purpose of a strategic plan and the requirement for safeguarding to be a key factor.
  • Recognise the importance of budgeting for a safeguarding provision.
  • Explain the importance and content of Board and senior management reports.

Please note that all LimeCulture CIC training courses at present will be via an on-line platform (this is under continuous review) .  We intend to resume face to face training in Manchester city centre as soon as it is safe for our delegates and staff.  All delegates will be informed whether the course will be taking place in Manchester city centre or on-line.

Expressions of Interest

Once the course is full, anyone wishing to book can be added to the Expressions of Interest list and offered a course on the next available course. In the event of a cancellation, a place will be offered to the next person on the list. To be added to this list, please send us an email with stating your Expression of Interest to We will keep you posted when the next dates are announced for this event and if there are any cancellations in the interim. All Expressions of Interest will receive a priority booking form before the course is marketed to the wider network.
