As we approach the end of another demanding and meaningful year, LimeCulture would like to take a moment to thank our partners, clients, colleagues, and friends. In a year marked by increasing complexity across the sectors we work in, collaboration, commitment, and shared purpose have enabled real impact. Together, we’ve made 2025 a year of learning, reach, and the promotion of safer cultures.

A Year of Innovation and Achievements – Driving Quality, Consistency and Accountability

2025 has reinforced why trauma-informed, high-quality practice matters. Across sectors facing increasing complexity, rising disclosures, and workforce strain, LimeCulture has continued to support organisations to improve responses to sexual violence and embed safer, more resilient cultures.

While it’s impossible to capture everything, here are some highlights from a year that demonstrates the power of partnership and purpose.

Strengthening Safer Cultures across Sectors
Throughout 2025, our work has focused on improving how organisations prevent harm and respond when it occurs ensuring victims and survivors are met with care, clarity, and consistency. Following the changes to the Worker Protection Act in late 2024, we’ve worked with and supported a range of new sectors and clients helping to create safer environments and cultures.

Healthcare and Workplace Misconduct
We continued our partnership with NHS organisations, including the University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust, supporting whole-organisation approaches to sexual misconduct. This included bespoke, trauma-informed training for HR professionals, investigators, and union representatives, ensuring internal processes are safe, fair, and well understood.

Education and Higher Education
Through our accredited Sexual Violence Liaison Officer (SVLO) training and wider trauma-informed programmes, over 752,000 students had access to improved support in the past year. Our work supported institutions to meet regulatory requirements while going beyond compliance to create cultures where survivors feel able to come forward and receive appropriate care.

Pioneering E-Learning for Higher Education
In 2025, LimeCulture partnered with numerous universities to deliver our new innovative e-learning products, reaching over 70,000 staff and 80,000 students. Aligned with Office of Students Condition E6, the programme was delivered efficiently and at scale. Each module personalised to reflect the individual support model of the university, going beyond ‘tick-box’ training to embed trauma-informed practice. This initiative supports institutions in meeting regulatory requirements while fostering safer, more inclusive campus cultures – where survivors feel confident to come forward and no one is left unsupported.

Faith Sector Safeguarding
In partnership with the Catholic Safeguarding Standards Agency, we delivered a consistent Sexual Misconduct Risk and Needs Assessment Tool and escalation framework across England and Wales. Over 100 safeguarding coordinators and trustees were trained, strengthening consistency, accountability, and survivor-centred responses.

Expanding Our Training and Consultancy Impact
We have continued to expand and deliver a wide range of training from our portfolio of 29 courses, reaching professionals across multiple sectors and equipping them with the skills and knowledge to provide safe, effective, and trauma-informed support.

Military Sexual Violence
In partnership with Anglia Ruskin University, we delivered specialist training for ISVAs supporting survivors of military sexual trauma, alongside a co-produced toolkit developed with veterans. This work strengthens capacity in a context where an estimated 37,500 UK veterans may be living with the impact of military sexual trauma.

International Impact
Our reach extended beyond the UK through our work in St Lucia, where we supported the development and implementation of a national Child ISVA model- strengthening local capacity to respond to child sexual violence through training, frameworks, and evaluation tools.

7th National ISVA Conference
We are proud to have hosted the 7th National ISVA Conference, bringing together skilled and passionate ISVAs from across the country for a day of learning, reflection, and connection. Against a backdrop of rising demand, stretched resources, and evolving challenges, delegates explored trauma-informed practice, innovative service models, and survivor-centred approaches across diverse settings including prisons, faith communities, and the military. The conference highlighted the resilience, adaptability, and dedication of ISVAs, and celebrated their exceptional work through the LimeLight Awards. Our national ISVA survey in 2025 highlighted rising caseloads, emotional strain, and funding instability – reinforcing the importance of robust training, accreditation, supervision, and professional networks.

Male Quality Standards: This year, LimeCulture took ownership of the MQS, refreshing its branding and approach to ensure clarity, accessibility, and alignment with best practice. A full content review is planned for early 2026 to strengthen the standards’ relevance and continue recognising excellence in support for male survivors.

Professional Networks: Our professional networks continued to provide vital spaces for learning, collaboration, and problem-solving, with over 100 members across ISVA managers, commissioners, safeguarding leaders in sport, and specialists working with neurodiversity and learning disabilities.

Listening to Survivors: Through projects such as Listen to Learn with the Lincolnshire Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner, we conducted trauma-informed interviews with victims and survivors to assess experiences of SARCs and ISVA services, turning lived experience into practical recommendations for improvement.

Celebrating LimeCulture’s Workforce and Organisational Growth
None of what we achieve would be possible without the people behind LimeCulture. This year, we have taken important steps to further invest in our team and strengthen the foundations of the organisation, celebrating growth not just in what we deliver, but in how we work together internally and externally.

Health and Wellbeing Strategy
We have proudly launched LimeCulture’s first Health and Wellbeing Strategy – a significant milestone that reflects our deep commitment to supporting our people. The strategy places mental and emotional wellbeing at its core, recognising the demanding, trauma-informed nature of our work and the importance of caring for those who care for others. Shaped by staff voice and grounded in our values, this work is about creating a culture where colleagues feel supported, valued, and able to flourish, both professionally and personally.

New Website
In recent months we launched our new LimeCulture website this year. Bringing our work to life, showcasing the impact we make across sectors and making it easier for partners, clients, and professionals to engage with our services, resources, and expertise. The new site strengthens our connection with the sector, and provides a platform to support our ambitions for the future.

Together, these developments mark an exciting chapter in LimeCulture’s ongoing journey. By investing in our people and enhancing how we share and deliver our work, we continue to strengthen an organisation that is resilient, forward-looking, and ready for the future.

Looking Ahead to 2026
As we look to the year ahead, LimeCulture remains focused on strengthening systems, supporting the workforce, and addressing gaps in provision. In 2026, we will amongst other projects:
– Deliver a Home Office-funded project to strengthen ISVA support for victims of CSE grooming gangs and technology-facilitated abuse
Refresh the Safety and Support (SaS) Assessment with Ministry of Justice funding
– Examine ISVA workforce capacity and sustainability, identifying practical strategies to manage demand
Refresh and strengthen the Male Quality Standards, ensuring inclusive, trauma-informed support nationwide
– Grow our client base through the development and delivery of innovative products and services that broaden our reach and enable us to support people across all environments
– Implement a new three-year organisational strategy, including a Health and Wellbeing Action Plan to support our team’s mental, emotional, and inclusive wellbeing
