Today marks the launch of IAmReady, a new portal designed to provide a single, accessible gateway to information, support, reporting and review processes for victims and survivors of child sexual abuse and exploitation following previously closed investigations.
Developed with input from victims and survivors, the portal has been designed to provide accessible, trauma-informed and victim-centred information and support.
The IAmReady portal has been launched to coincide with the launch of Operation Beaconport, a national policing initiatve established following recommendations from Baroness Casey’s National Audit into Group-Based Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation. The purpose of Operation Beaconport is to review previously closed investigations into group-based child sexual abuse and exploitation reported across England and Wales between 1 January 2010 and 31 March 2025.
By answering a series of carefully designed questions, IAmReady users can access information about support and review options that may be relevant to their circumstances, helping identify the most appropriate pathway based on their individual situation.
Depending on the information provided, this may include information about Operation Beaconport, the Child Sexual Abuse Review Panel (CSARP), Victims’ Right to Review (VRR), reporting abuse to the police and specialist support services.
Independent Support Through the National ISVA Coordination Service
Alongside the launch of IAmReady portal, LimeCulture is proud to be delivering the National ISVA Coordination Service.
The service has been established to ensure that victims and survivors accessing the portal can receive independent, trauma-informed support, compassionate guidance and specialist advice as they explore their options and make decisions about what happens next.
Accessing information about a previously closed investigation, considering a review process or revisiting past experiences can be difficult. Through the National ISVA Coordination Service, victims and survivors can access specialist support from Independent Sexual Violence Advisers (ISVAs), helping them understand the information available to them, consider their options and engage with the process in a way that feels right for them. The service has been designed to ensure that people do not have to navigate complex review processes alone.
Working alongside IAmReady and Operation Beaconport, the service helps ensure that victims and survivors are not required to navigate complex processes alone and can access independent support throughout their journey. Independent support from specialist organisations, ISVAs and victim support services is a key feature of the wider IAmReady offer.
Putting Victims and Survivors at the Heart of the Process
For many victims and survivors, questions can remain long after an investigation has been closed. Understanding what options may be available, whether a previous decision can be reviewed and where to access appropriate support is not always straightforward. Finding information or understanding where to turn next can feel overwhelming.
IAmReady has been designed to provide a clear starting point and a single point of access, bringing information about support, reporting and review processes together in one place.
Users are able to move through the portal at their own pace, with opportunities to pause, save their progress and return whenever they feel ready. Victims and survivors played an important role in the development of the portal, helping to ensure it reflects their needs and priorities.
