Development of a bespoke Safety and Support (SAS) risk and needs Assessment for Independent Sexual Violence Advisers & training sessions – Home Office (March 2017)

LimeCulture was awarded funding from the Home Office to develop a bespoke Risk and Needs Assessment Tool for use by all ISVAs working across England and Wales.

The Safety and Support (SAS) Assessment is a domain-based assessment that allows ISVAs to identify, monitor and manage the individual risks and needs of their clients over time. The SAS Assessment is used by ISVAs to put in place tailored support plans for their individual clients and provides clarity about the nature of support the ISVA will provide.

The development of the SAS Assessment included extensive consultation with ISVAs from across England and Wales and was tested by 5 ‘Pathfinder’ ISVA services before launched and rolled out to all ISVAs in 2017. The SAS Assessment is now widely used across ISVA Services.
