Norfolk Constabulary – Victims of Rape and Other Serious Sexual Offences (RASSO) Engagement Project (March 2023)

LimeCulture was commissioned by the Office of Police and Crime Commissioner for Norfolk to undertake an engagement project seeking feedback from individuals who had reported a sexual offence to the police. The project sought to elicit the views and experiences of victims/survivors about the police’s communication and support at key stages of the criminal justice journey.

With the help of the Norfolk Constabulary and the Norfolk ISVA service, LimeCulture carried out trauma-informed interviews with a range of participants with the aim of eliciting their individual experiences, views and suggestions for improvements. These interviews were then used to make operational improvements to the police’s response to sexual offending and support better engagement with victims/survivors.
