Independent Review of the commissioned sexual violence services for North Yorkshire (Adult SARC, Paediatric SARC and ISVA Service) – OPCC North Yorkshire (December 2018)
LimeCulture was commissioned by the Office of the Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner for North Yorkshire to undertake an independent review of the ‘victim journey’ through the existing sexual violence service provision in North Yorkshire.
The process included separate reviews of the:
– Sexual Assault Referral Centre Service for Adults (16-years+), which took place in March 2018
– Child Sexual Assault Assessment (Child Sexual Abuse Assessment Centre) Service, February 2018
– Independent Sexual Violence Adviser (ISVA) Service provision for North Yorkshire, October 2017
– In addition, LimeCulture carried out an online survey to provide the opportunity for comments from victims/survivors of sexual violence who have accessed services for support in North Yorkshire.
Commissioners asked LimeCulture to conduct a follow-up review of the Independent Sexual Violence Adviser (ISVA) Service provision for North Yorkshire during winter 2019 to determine how recommendations from the original review had been implemented, and identify further recommendations to improve the operational practices of the ISVA service and its commissioning.
