Sport England – National Safeguarding Case Management Programme
LimeCulture was commissioned to deliver the National Safeguarding Case Management Programme by Sport England, a four-year National Programme to transform the way safeguarding cases are handled within sporting National Governing Bodies (NGBs).
The Safeguarding Case Management Programme (SCMP) is a partnership programme between with Sport England, Sport Resolutions and LimeCulture. The SCMP provides all participating NGBs with expert support to assist the management of safeguarding in sport. There are now 44 NGBs signed up who can access the SCMP for all cases, both adults in vulnerable situations and children, with the option to request the variety of support available as and when they feel it is required.
The support and services are free to participating NGBs who have unlimited access to case management, safeguarding and legal support including initial advice, investigations and the organisation of discipline hearings and appeals.
LimeCulture manages the national programme and provides day-to-day support for NGBs, including advice and guidance on Case Management principles and processes.
A common data set has been developed and implemented across the participating sports to allow us to identify prevalence, key themes and emerging trends in abuse in sport, to better support safeguarding in the context of prevention.
