About the training
LimeCulture is committed to supporting the continued professional development of Independent Sexual Violence Advisors (ISVAs) and Sexual Violence Liaison Officers (SVLOs) as they grow and progress in their roles.
Through our CPD Programme, ISVAs and SVLOs who have completed an ISVA or SVLO Development Programme can expand their expertise to support victims in often complex circumstances.
LGBTQ+ survivors of sexual violence often experience unique and intersecting barriers that affect whether, when, and how they seek support from ISVA services and other agencies.
Many LGBTQ+ survivors worry that services will not understand their identities or experiences.
This NCFE-accredited one-day CPD programme equips ISVAs and SVLOs with the specialist knowledge and practical skills needed to provide accessible, inclusive, and effective support to this client group.
The programme explores:
- Key language, terminology and legislation
- Barriers to reporting and accessing support
- Inclusive practice
- The ISVAs/SVLOs role in supporting clients with additional needs
