Beyond Compliance: Building Safer, Inclusive Educational Environments

We support schools, colleges, and universities to meet legislative requirements, such as the Worker Protection Act 2023, as well as sector-specific regulatory standards, including the Office for Students E6 Condition on Harassment and Sexual Misconduct. But our approach goes far beyond compliance. We work closely with educators to create and embed safer, more inclusive cultures that protect both students and staff.

Our whole-school approach combines the Sexual Misconduct Liaison Officer (SMLO) model, which supports students affected by sexual misconduct, with teacher training on healthy relationships, consent, and related topics across Key Stages 1–5. Schools and colleges can access tailored, accredited training to embed the SMLO model and deliver age-appropriate Preventing Sexual Misconduct Education to children and young people aged 5–18.

By combining practical guidance, sector-specific expertise, and trauma-informed approaches, we help education providers build environments where respect, accountability, and safety are prioritised, and lasting cultural change is achieved.

Consultancy customised to your needs

Our services are comprehensive and education-focused. We conduct organisational reviews and needs assessments to identify gaps and opportunities, provide strategic leadership planning to guide culture change, and deliver specialist training to build awareness, skills, and confidence among staff and students.

We also offer expert advice on reporting and response processes, ensuring institutions respond effectively and consistently to incidents of harassment, harm, or abuse.

Training courses

Our accredited Sexual Violence Liaison Officer Development Programme (SVLO DP), developed by LimeCulture in collaboration with the university sector, ensures it reflects the realities and challenges of higher education. It aims to equip key staff at universities and Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) with the knowledge and skills to appropriately meet the needs of students and staff affected by sexual violence or misconduct, whether recent or non-recent.

All our training in education is delivered through a blend of online, face-to-face, and eLearning formats. We offer a mix of core courses and customised in-house training, all designed to help participants develop new skills or refresh existing knowledge in practical, relevant, and impactful ways, enabling them to create safer and more inclusive learning environments.

Testimonial by Neil Davies

“The LimeCulture trainers were EXCELLENT – their knowledge was outstanding and what I really liked, was the fact they were so encouraging when everyone spoke or contributed. There genuine feedback and support made this course one of the best I have ever been on.”

Delegate on Sexual Violence Liaison Officer Development Programme, Non-profit Organisation

“We have worked with LimeCulture for the past 3 years. They delivered First Responder training to staff around the university which received great feedback from all the teams that attended. Staff said they felt far more confident in this space and much clearer about their respective roles when supporting students.

LimeCulture has also supported the Wellbeing Service directly with a service review and evaluation piece of work and latterly with the development of an SVLO model that was right for our context at Cardiff Met. The team at LimeCulture have been excellent and are very easy to work with. Their support with the development of an SVLO model has been invaluable, demonstrating their expertise in this area, ensuring our model is both fit for purpose and sustainable. I would recommend LimeCulture to any organisation looking to develop or enhance their support offering in this area.”
