This two-day NCFE accredited programme focuses on the individual support needs of older people who have experienced sexual violence to ensure specialist practitioners have the skills and knowledge to support them and their families/carers appropriately.
This programme has been developed by LimeCulture in partnership with Age UK, the UK’s leading charity for older people, and will cover:
- Defining older people
- Preconceptions and misconceptions about ageing
- Barriers to disclosing and reporting
- Physical and mental health issues
- Communication with adults at risk
- The Mental Capacity Act
- Understanding and responding to the specific support needs of older victims/survivors of sexual violence
The next training course will be held on Thursday and Friday 2 & 3 May 2024.
All delegates will be required to complete a written assessment as part of this accredited course.

Expressions of Interest
Once the course is full, delegates wishing to book can be added to the Expressions of Interest list and offered a course on the next available course. In the event of a cancellation, a place will be offered to the next person on the list. To be added to this list, please send us an email with stating your Expression of Interest to info@limeculture.co.uk. We will keep you posted when the next dates are announced for this event and if there are any cancellations in the interim. All Expressions of Interest will receive a priority booking form before the course is marketed to the wider network.
