Crisis workers have a crucial role in the delivery of Sexual Assault Referral Centre (SARC) services often providing the first response and initial support to those who attend SARCs.

It is important that crisis workers understand their role and receive training to adequately prepare them for delivering this role. This programme aims to enable them to be competent and confident in responding appropriately to vulnerable people and to provide professional advice and support on the range of options available to them in the aftermath of a sexual assault.

In discussion with SARC services, crisis workers and taking into account SARC guidance/standards, LimeCulture has developed the Crisis Worker Development Programme. This programme can either form part of an induction programme for new crisis workers or as a refresher programme for experienced crisis workers. The programme is regularly refreshed to include new legislation, policy and best practice.

The next training course will be held on Tuesday and Wednesday 7 & 8 February 2023.

Covid 19

Please note that all LimeCulture CIC training courses at present will be via an online platform (this is under continuous review).  We intend to resume face-to-face training in Manchester city centre as soon as it is safe for our delegates and staff.  All delegates will be informed whether the course will be taking place in Manchester city centre or online.
