LimeCulture Now Taking Nominations for ISVA LimeLight Awards 2020!

LimeCulture is excited to be hosting the 5th National Conference for Independent Sexual Violence Advisers (ISVAs) ‘Knowledge & Network”, which will take place on 5 March 2020 in Manchester.

ISVAs are part of an important workforce that have been increasing in size and recognition over the last decade. It is widely recognised that ISVAs play an integral role in providing support and responding to those who have experienced sexual violence. This national conference will bring together professionals to share knowledge and provide a unique opportunity to network with other members of the ISVA workforce.

Once again, LimeCulture is delighted that the 2020 conference will incorporate a special ceremony to present the LimeLight Awards, which were introduced by Sir Keir Starmer at the 2016 National ISVA Conference to provide professional recognition for the amazing work that is undertaken by ISVAs throughout the UK.

LimeCulture is keen to ensure that the outstanding contributions and achievements of these professionals who have demonstrated excellence, dedication and commitment to supporting victims of sexual violence through their work as ISVAs continue to be properly recognised through the LimeLight Awards.

There are 4 LimeLight Awards:

  • Award 1: Award for Outstanding Achievement by an ISVA Supporting Adults
  • Award 2: The Vicky Bardsley Prize – Award for Outstanding Achievement by an ISVA Supporting Children and Young People
  • Award 3: Limelight ISVA Team/Service Innovation Award
  • Award 4: Award for Inspirational ISVA Manager

Rachael Bloomer is an ISVA working at SafeLink, an ISVA service based in Bristol supporting victims/survivors from across the whole of Avon and Somerset. Rachael was the winner of the 2018 LimeLight Award for Outstanding Achievement for an ISVA Supporting Adults. She says

“It felt really heartwarming that one of my team had taken the time to nominate me. Being valued by service users and by colleagues makes the job a whole load easier and this was a lovely gesture of recognition from someone who I knew was so busy (and deserved the recognition as much as me!)
